Troubleshooting

Issues and Solutions

A device came in contact with water.
  • If a sensor is in alarm because it is wet, confirm that the situation that caused the alarm does not require further attention.
  • Remove the batteries from the device. If a wired water sensor got wet, unplug it from the respective device.
  • The alarm can be muted on app.ionleaks.com. There will be a mute alarm button under the state and mode toggle options. If it is a persistent alarm, the device can only be muted when the sensor pins are dry again.
  • To turn the water back on from app.ionleaks, toggle the State button to on.
  • If you have an RC400 (remote control) device, you can do the steps above by pushing the water drop button. One push will silence the alarm, a second push will turn the water back on. The blue button on the RS400 device will operate in the same manner if you do not have an RC400 device.
  • The device tile will remain red on app.ionleaks until the device checks in as okay. When the water pins are dry replace the batteries in the device. Push the red sync button on the device to confirm that it is connected to the hub. If the device gives 3 quick chirps it has checked in with the hub and the tile should now be green.

My valve closed even though everything is fine.
  • If a valve closes and does not open up automatically there may be an issue with the RS400 device that the valve is plugged into.
  • The RS400 may be blinking Red/Green. If this happens push the blue button on the device to actuate the valve open. If the valve does not open it may be necessary to push the red sync button on the front of the device before pushing the blue button again.
  • If the RS400 has lost power, there is a manual override handle on the WaterValve. Move the handle so that the flag on the top of the actuator is in line with the pipe. These are industrial valves so they will require some torque to open. It is best practice to open the valve slowly so the water line does not fill with air. You can crack the valve open a little way and let it sit for a minute or two before opening the valve up completely, this will prevent water hammer in the line.
